Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya Invites HIPMI to Collaborate with Regional Governments in Boosting Creative Economy

BANDUNG –JACKTVNEWS || Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto has called on the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) to collaborate with regional governments in driving the creative economy sector. He delivered the statement while attending the 5th Regional Education and Training Program (Diklatda V) of the West Java HIPMI Regional Executive Board (BPD HIPMI Jawa Barat) at the Daan Mogot Building, Pusdikif, Bandung City, on Saturday (May 9, 2026).
In his role as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Bima explained that one of his responsibilities is assisting regional leaders in building fiscal independence to support national priority programs. According to him, regional administrations need to be encouraged to seek alternative financing sources, including crowd financing, alternative financing schemes, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP/KPBU), and the optimization of regional assets.
Bima stressed that HIPMI has significant opportunities to assist regional leaders through more collaborative and innovative approaches. He noted that HIPMI can serve as a bridge connecting local governments, business actors, and communities.
“I know many HIPMI members who are active in the creative economy sector, culinary business, and other industries. Many regional leaders do not fully understand these sectors yet. Therefore, I encourage HIPMI members to help regional heads become more creative and innovative,” he said.
He further explained that the challenges faced by regional leaders today can be measured by their ability to implement national strategic programs at the local level. According to him, regional leaders must closely oversee the implementation of the government’s Asta Cita agenda, including food sovereignty, the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG), Sekolah Rakyat, Sekolah Garuda, and Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives (Kopdeskel).
Bima believes the current momentum presents a major opportunity for young generations and entrepreneurs to contribute toward realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. He added that Indonesia can become a developed nation if it successfully utilizes its demographic bonus and strengthens national self-reliance.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining continuity in the national vision across different administrations. Leadership changes, he said, should not alter the direction of national development. He pointed to countries such as Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam as examples of nations that have maintained economic stability despite changes in leadership.
“No government can work alone; everything requires collaboration. But today, collaboration alone is no longer enough. This is the era of co-creation. Collaboration only accommodates, while co-creation means sitting together, facing challenges together, and planning together,” Bima remarked.
Bima also highlighted the achievements of the Jambi City Government, which he considered successful in improving regional finances through the optimization of national priority programs. According to him, the strategy has contributed to stronger economic growth and lower open unemployment rates.
“The numbers are impressive. Yesterday I conveyed this at Bappenas, and I was pleased because this proves that regional leaders are not merely complaining, but are willing to work hard. And when they do, opportunities will emerge,” he concluded.
The event was also attended by several West Java HIPMI officials, including Agung Rachmat, Zulfikar Priyatna, and HIPMI cadres from across West Java.
